Chopper land on specific H-pad
« on: 21 May 2003, 19:03:50 »
After an extensive search, and scrutinizing a quite bit of code snippets I feel that I need to ask this.

I've put together a bit of an airbase for a mission I'm working on.

The Player character is flown in via CH-47 with a squad and are to be met at the landing pad by a 5t truck.

I've set up the truck, chopper approach WP's etc, but *sometimes* the chopper lands on an nearby empty H-pad.

This other H-pad I want to be used for a UH-60 that will be an insertion vehicle, however it does not arrive at the airbase until after the CH-47 lands and the player has "reported" to the CO.

I am wondering if you are able to specify which H-pad a chopper is to land on. An "TRANSPORT UNLOAD" WP will be used by the CH-47 and a "LOAD" WP by the UH-60.

Is the "Transport Unload" waypoint set on top of the heli pad you want?

I am looking at both the official and unofficial ref. and I do see how to force a landing but not by naming the heli pad... there is a script in the editor depot that forces your helo down where you want it.
