Search the FAQ.

And try the switchmove animation list.
Plenty of reviewed ArmA missions for you to play

Ok this is what I have:
Civ1 is the name os my unit I want surrendering

The trigger is
10 by 10, west detect east(which is civ)
condition this
on activation civ1 switchMove "EffectStandSurUniv"

The problem is, when my unit gets near the civ, civ automatically drops to ground and doesnt surrender. Why is that?
But when I set it to east present, they automatically do the animation.

Use "playMove" if you want a smooth transition to the surrendering position. "switchMove" just skips to that animation.

It's possible the civilian needs a weapon to perform the animation but you could always try the various surrenders (already listed).
