Evac problems

Ok, my missions starts with 12 human controlled players that are flown in by Littlebird....the dudes do the mission blah blah...let's say by the time they have got to extraction there are 8 of them left.... i need the birds to pick them up, so i set 2 invisible H's and.....err....well that's it.

1) How do i get my choppers to land and keep the engine running?

2)How do i get them to take off again when all the players (human) are aboard? (bearing in mind there could be 12 players or just 1, meaning that if the 1 player get's into 1 chopper the other will still fly off too.)

  I know, from reading a tute, how to do it with AI (you give the chopper a load waypoint and the team a get in waypoint and synch them) but it doesn't say how to do it with human controlled players (which obviously don't have waypoints.)

Check in the script snippets area of the editors depot, you should find a great helicopter script by snypir that makes the helis land wait till the whole squad is on and it also checks if they are alive so it will only go once the living guys are on board and won't wait for dead guys to board, the script is called Quick Helicopter Landings, u should find it ;D
