Rearmin mid-mission

Hi,

i am creating a Gulf war mission in which there is a full on assault on the Iraqi border, is it possible for me to re-arm my tanks after the front line?  i Know i can set healh to full, but can i set ammo back to how it was at the beginning?

Why dont you make a radio trigger and order an Ammo Truck to come support you?

I did think of this, am thinking of making choppers bring ammo trucks in by hanging them underneath anyway, but i want more control over what ammo is added, really need to know if i can use (addmagazine"XX") for tanks and if i can then what is the list of ammo names, any ideas?

Check the Ed Depot, the ammo listing for 1.91 has a comment with vehicle weapons, that might help you.  

Tutorials - references - weapon and ammo lists.
Plenty of reviewed ArmA missions for you to play

What kinda armor do you want to rearm?

I have a script that covers about every official vehicle

made by DeadMeat and updated a little by me to include some more recent BIS vehicles

I present to you .....  the reload script ;)

use:

 [Unitname,"unittype"] exec "reload.sqs"

valid "unit types" are:

A10 : A10LGB : AH1 : UH60 : UH60/mg : CH47D : AH64 : OH58

SU25 : Mi24 : Mi17

M2 : M1A1 : M2A2 : M60 : M113 : MIIPBR : VULCAN : JEEP

T80 : T72 : BMP : BMP2 : BOAT : SHILKA

T55


Now, This script will do a full reload of the vehicle you use it on ....
so if you so desire you can edit it to only reload one kind of round.... etc..

Fantastic, works a treat, now just need to get round a small problem with bringing in my ammo/armour trucks.  I have a script which flies them in and i know that it works fine, i have copied this before into other missions, but now the mission cannot find the .sqs file, odd!!

Probably a typo.

Or the ultimate embarrassement, the .sqs isn't in the mission folder  :-[ :-[ :-[ :)

HEH, nope, no typo and the file is in the folder, i have a chopper, a chute, an ammo truck and a trigger that in the original mission work fine.  if i copy these to another mission and move the sqs file, then it doesnt work, an the anoying thing is that i have done it before!!!!!!

maybe, by accident, it's a .sqs.txt now?  ;D you never know  ;)
