hey great addon. It gos real great with flippers m4a1 pack I put in the int field. But I think you should add a medic in the recon role also. I dont like to be injured and no medic around. You could just moddel them like the marine recon people and just put the redcross patch on the arm and on the back.Great addon!

ummm - the idea of recon is to stay hidden - no point doing recon and the enemy know it - they will just move things.

I think Mezzy's hinting that you wouldn't be injured if you were doing recon the right way.  The only way to get shot is to get seen, and that's not something USMCFR like to do.

So really there's no need for a medic on a recon team, if you're good at recon.

LOL thas the funniest thing I've ever heard SEAL84...so why not just take their guns away too?? Yes recon and force recon marines primary job is reconnaissance but they are also tasked with DA(direct action) type missions on too even when not on a DA op the risk of someone takin a round is always there. Yes they intend on not getting compromised but "shit happens" even when things are done "right" as you put it. so thas why ALL marine recon units have a navy corpman attached to their teams ...so modelling them in OFP without a corpman(medic) is needed if Fransden was looking for realism

Sounds like a good idea.  That is in fact how the SEALs and Delta do it sometimes...civvie clothes, no weapons.  The Jarheads could learn a thing or two from them  ;)

I'm well aware the regular Marine units use Navy corpsmen.  But, are they actually going to take the time to train one how to be an elite recon soldier?  The requirements are shall we say, just a little higher to be in Force Recon.

And like SEALs or Delta, there are no "medics"....they are all trained in first aid.  Frandsen agrees, apparantly

SOB, that is a damn good idea, civvie clothed Force Recon with the M4, pistols.  Hell yeah, maybe script it that they are civvie untill they pull out there guns.  Throw that out to ya. Hmmm

well heres an idea (just to make u release a new version Frandsen - lol jeg er bare ond med dig) - what about making some modern NV?

this is from an idea in the addons idea board - but the new ones that mount on the helmet and are mono view (well doesnt have to be mono in ofp - but could be fun)

what u think? thats summit the marines could use

That would be very cool...the old blocky ones haven't been used in years by infantry.  I have this book from like '83 where they had a pic of a guy wearing those huge ones like we have and it said something like "the potential usefulness of night-vision equipment is unclear, except perhaps for sentries."

Now that's funny. ;D

hey frandsen, this bug you may or may not know about.
When i'm in the mission editor and wish to add a group of your marines and i select a 10 man sqaud, it appears to only put 8 down. there are 10 there but the editor takes guys #9 and #10 and stacks them on guy #8, so like i said, it appears as only 8 guys
