RSOV
« on: 06 Mar 2003, 00:38:45 »
Well awhile ago I decided to make a Ranger Special Operation Vehicle
http://nz.msnusers.com/registeredfugitivsmodelingpics/shoebox.msnw

what it is is a modified Land rover specified to the needs of the U.S Army Rangers but im not gonna go into detail. http://www.specwarnet.com/vehicles/rsov.htm
It still needs alot of work but its staring to come together.
there will be a few different versions with different loadouts and such.
special thanks to DeLiltMon for letting me use his land rover model

tell me what u think

looks like it's coming together nicely...after this all we'll need is some MH-60's and we can make some realistic modern day army spec op missions....

Hey thanx guys glad u like it.
yea I know the textures need some work but im not a texture artist but Ill try my best to get some good textures on it or get in touch with my contacts
and yea it is a shame ofp cant have more then one gun on a vehicle
but I will still have a M240B mounted on one as eye candy

It would be nice to have a working front mount, but at least the ring mount offers a  360o field of fire

with the gunner positioned that high it will never fit into a MH47 :)

Happened to stumble across some FAV's that look similar to the RSOV. They're made by Frandsen, same guy that made the FAV for TOW.

You can find them here:

http://www.operation-flashpoint.dk/

The site is in danish, but all you have to do is click on the DDAM 3.0 link. It's quite a big pack with danish troops. The vehicles that may be of interrest are :

move.pbo
FAV1.pbo

I don't think you need the danish units to run these.
The MOVE one has a bug though. the M2 is white when you're the gunner.
These vehicles don't look as good as the RSOV registered_fugitiv is making, but i thought I'd add this info in case you wanted to see how other addonmakers have made theirs.

AAHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!
yea but i didnt want u to get the blame for some textures that dont look good.... yet :P but you  can make me better right?

thanks for posting that Lt_Phoenix but i already know how to get it to work unless it has two weapons on it and runs in 1.90 (TOW's had two weapons and then they changed it)

One thing that really sucks is that you can only use one gun per. model but it will work great with scripts (hopefully)
