FAST(!!)chopper insertion

I've been very busy to create a dynamic chopper insertion in which units eject(not disembark!!) at a safe altitude(like 1-2 m)without letting the chopper touch down.Try to see the situation in a vietnam aircav scenario or a special forces assignment,where fast and effective deployment of troops is required.I've been testing try-outs for 3 days now and I'm sick and tired of it.Can anyone please,PLEASE,help me.

just search through all the scripts and stuff on OFPEC. Somewhere is a script that you can copy+paste exactly into your mission (copy=ctrl+c, paste=ctrl+v). Hope this helps

I have almost gotten it on one of the missions I have done...

What I did was use a para drop script found in the tutorials,

Set 3 waypoints.

1st one to flyinheight at 5
2nd to slow speed to limited
3rd to have them ejected.

Prob is sometimes it works sometimes it does not...  when it does not.. the chopper usally is going to fast and the guy dies. But some times it works like a champ

Yeah, but it wont be nice mission if 9 times from 10 your squad dies in jump from chopper. Look "help with heli's" topic it might help you if you are better to edit than i  ;D

ive done a mission like that, give it flying height etc, then dont do eject automaticaly make them have to do t manually, then if they dont get out they go back to the helis base etc...
give them a time limit say of 30 seconds coz ive done it with a full uh-60 within that time, so give them text as well to say jump etc.. so if u do it like that it should be fine.

try using groupeject.sqs (search for ejection tut) and modify the timer to .1 or 0. You'll have to execute it with a trigger that watches the heli altitude and executes at 2 feet.

I looked, but I lost the mission where i Had a little bird dump everyone at 2 feet. If i find it - i'll post it.

ive found, that if the squad leader (player usually) tells his squad to disembark, they get out sometimes while the chopper is still in the air, dont know how to script it or anything just thought id mention it
