How do I learn scripting ???

Pleeeeeeease..

I am a HUUUUGE fan of Ofp and now I want to learn how to make mission editing...

BUT i have problem, I dont know have to perform scripts. I have the 114 pages long script manual by Lustypooh.. Which is great.. But it does not tell how to and where to make these script..  

Please help.. I have so many ideas..

I'm learning myself... all I can say is practice, experiment, ask questions, read tutorials, finding out how others did things by researching their work has also helped me make my own stuff immeasurably. One more thing you need: some time.

I try and try and try.. But for some reason only very few of the commands in the ref. seem to work.. Or at least in the form it has in the ref...
