adding my voice
« on: 16 Jan 2003, 23:06:28 »
I've decryped the Voice.pbo and I've noticed how all the different words are categorized.

Now before I spend much time recording my voice for each of the words, does anyone know if it would be possible to replace my voice successfully?

If it is, I'll try to get a woman to do a female voice for me.  The hardest part will be talking her into doing it.

*bump*
this it the topic I'm looking for..
I need help on replacing the original voices from command menu, and to place my own sound there. Just wondering how to do that? any suggestions would be helpfull..
I know how to place my own sounds in reply-custom menu but that's all..

You should be able to replace them with your own files, just make sure the filenames are the same (and the same format). It would be a good idea just to record one line yourself and check if it works before you get a woman to record a load for you, and make a backup of course.

You may be able to add a new person to the pbo by just making a folder with a new name and putting the sounds in there, its something I've always meant to try but never got round to  :(
