ammo crates with Res
« on: 09 Jan 2003, 01:38:08 »
well Ive added ammo to the crate the same way I did in Cold War Crisis:

this addmagazinecargo ["M16",100]; this addweaponcargo ["M16",25]

for example...

So my problem comes from when you try to drop a weapon to grab a new one.. the gun you had in your hand goes on the ground with all the magazines instead of in the ammo crate..

Am I using too much ammo? or the wrong command? this addmagazinepool?? I dont know what addmagazine"pool" is all about. If someone can help Id appreciate it.

Are you selecting the ordinary "DROP" command from the action menu, or the "PUT" m16 into the weapon crate command?  If you just drop then yes the gun appears on the ground.  You need to put the m16 in the crate, there is a seperate command for this.

Hmm...

Sounds to me like you've filled your ammo crate up so much that you can't put anything more in it!

Since Resistance (I think??) ammo crates have a capacity of:
  • 1000 weapons
  • 2000 magazines
So if the number of weapons in your ammo crate exceeds 1000, any you try to put in will end up on the ground (that includes any you try to 'swap').

The way to stop this from happening is to reduce the number of guns you've got stuffed in there, mate ;)

You may need two crates instead of one
