Setposing objects :o :-X
« on: 30 Dec 2002, 07:52:59 »
we all know at setposing objects is somthing dat mustn't b done nd we know y (if u donno, u dont wanna know  :-X)

nd i wanna know 2 things bout da reviewing nd setposing objects

1) wat is da current punishment 4 setposing objects in a mision ? (reducd score, not reviewing mision, etc...)

2) can dere b standarts dat if dey r all done mision wid setposed objects dont get dis punishment ?  ;D - look @ my situation - i have 2 misions dat need lights in som cities @ malden but dis cities dont have lights (wat did bis think wen dey didnt put lights in da cities  ???  ::)) so now its 100% harder 4 da player 2 play dis parts of da mision. if i could setpos streetlamps 2 dis place it would b lot beter (i dont wanna use addon streetlamps cuz dey have sucky effects  >:() so i think dat if lets say i use it but have somtihn reminding bout it like

1) setposing da streetlamp 2 dis place nd setposing it back were it should b wen da part finishes (including hint dat states dat dere may b bugs if u get out in dis part of da mision)

2) makin special radio chanel dat should b presed b4 da player quits da mision (hint @ start of da mision nd reseting em back 2 place exactly b4 da mision ends)

3) makin 2 radio chanels stating dat 1 is wen u need da lights nd da oder wen u want em back (hint @ start, less usefull way)

dats all i can thin bout - reviewers, mision makers, Anmac ;) drop ur ideas here

 ;D ;D ;D ;D

hmmmm

well dunno if any1 noticed this - but if you are editing a mission and say, u blow up some already BIS placed walls on the map and then abort - check your map - those walls have dissapeared - then play the mission again and they are back...

now this bug isnt that bad - just restart OFP and all is well again... why should any1 be peanalised for that? You want quality mission, then accept some things like this...

also - i need streelamps on a kolgujev mission - i would do the same as LCD but there is only like 2 streetlamps on the whole map - very annoying.

I could care less is an author uses the setpos command.

If the mission works, then that's what counts.

Now, I will move this to an editing forum so you get help with your new found problem.  ;)
