converting milkshape to O2
« on: 06 Dec 2002, 17:08:06 »
need some help please,

a while back before i had O2, i created a predator UAV in milkshape - now i need it in O2 so i can send it to Tigershark. It just needs to be converted to O2 format so i can work on it and add custom gear movement to it etc...

please help - this model took so long in milkshape, O2 is just to hard for me to work it out later.

Export in MS to format ".3ds". Then in O2 go to File>Inport and find your .3ds file.

O2 dont like milkshape created .3ds files, so what u got to do is in ms export to 3ds, then open it in 3dsMAX and re-export it to .3ds, and O2 will then open the max created 3ds file. pain in the arse i know :moon:

just for future refrence messiah you can convert it to a understandable .3ds for o2 by using a free program called anim8tor at http://www.anim8or.com/main/index.html just go to object import and import your .3ds then got to options debug and click on dummy 3ds kdata then go to object export and export to a .3ds file then it should be ready to load up in o2
