HI all,
Firstly gr8 website,  I am new to the game and have a couple of questions, sorry if they have been answered 100 times before in the past. I also appreciate that this is an editing forum, but I figured you guys would know better than anyone.

I have just bought the OFP gold edition, and it only has a few co-op multiplayer missions on it, and it would apper that all the campaign and single player missions are not playable in multiplayer mode, am I missing something obvious, or is this the case?. My son and I want to play the single player missions (especially the #09 Sniper Team) as multi player co-op.
#1 is this possible as the game stands?
#2 if not, has anyone got a version of#09 Sniper Team ( and any other single player mission) that is playable as a co-op multi?. Failing that, how do I change the read only attributes of the original missions to allow me to edit them to allow multiplayer?
#3 I cannot get my MS joystick (FF#2) to work at all in the game even though I have set it to "joystick enabled" in the options menu. Is the joystick option viable?.

As I said I am sure these have been covered before but I had a look and could't find anything about them in earlier posts.

Thanks
JF

I've come to the conclusion that anything is possible with this game.

First off you need a tool that will convert files with the .pbo extension to a folder structure that the editor can deal with. The one I like is PBO Decryptor and you can get it here. http://www.opflashpoint.org/mappingtools.php  What you do is click one button, (open file) navigate to the file you want to convert, select it, then click on "decompress". The result will be in the folder with the file you selected for conversion. Incidentally your original file remains intact. In your case it will be a mission file, which is in c:\program files\codemasters\operationflashpoint\missionns by default. Cut and paste this folder (09SniperTeam.Cain) to C:\program files\codemasters\operationflashpoint\users\your name\missions. Now when you open the editor you should be able to open the Sniper Team mission for editing. You'll need to select all the guys on the team and make them playable. Save after your edits, go back to, users\your name\missions and move the folder to users\your name\MPmission. Now when you start multiplayer this mission will be available at the bottom of the list in yellow, meaning you can still edit it from the multiplayer window. There are other things you'll probably want to do like edit it to respawn back into the group but enough for now. While your geting the PBO Decryptor you might also dl Make PBO which which will recompress folders. For missions though the editor will do just fine.

As for posting the mission for you, this site has a size limit and the file will undoubtedly exceed it. Sorry about that.

Re: the joystick. I haven't a clue but your chances of getting a good answere on that one are better at the official forums. http://www.flashpoint1985.com/cgi-bin/ikonboard301/ikonboard.cgi?s=3df2dc831114ffff

Let me know how it works out.
