It is bad for us that those taliban units are in VBS1 we will never see those :-\
Hope BIS put some cool new things in IL 8)

So what's the big deal? I'm quite sure the various mod teams, and independent mod makers could produce some fantastic quality Mujahadeen/Taliban/Al Qaeda/Palestinian/Somali Militia
etc... we don't have to depend on BIS, with mod-teams like BAS providing their time and expertise to produce addons for us.

Good God, those Afghan units rock!  Glad to hear we are getting the Rangers too Skaven.  I really hope someone makes decent Iraqis, after all, the Russians are now friends with the U.S., so fighting them is a little unrealistic.  Sorry for being a bit offtopic, but: In fact, it looks as of today as if the Russians might be fighting alongside the U.S. in Iraq.  Seems that Putin is changing his stance against Saddam.

Well, I think what's being said is that Russia sees the writing onthe wall, realizes they will want to be involved in the Iraqi rebuilding process, ( BIG MONEY, OIL!!! ) sees that France and Germany are going to be on the outside looking in, and have decided to support our effort.
However, Russia would have a very difficult time getting their forces to the battlefield before we attack next month, unless we start loading them on our C-5's right now.
I'd have to agree, it almost seems strange to play a game that simulates Russians as the badguy...! We have much in common, including being the victims of secular hatred. I call all Russians my brothers and sisters, these days...

Looks awesome :o another standard OFP addon among with AKM74's and Kegetys' addons to name a few, I like that you didn't make those desert M4s too yellow.

My vote for next units is some Middle East units (something like in those VBS1 pics) and/or modern Russian infantry pack (similar to this pack), I mean only good Russian soldiers are made by UCE but those are only retextured basic models :-\. It would be nice to simulate the Chechen war; Sigma has already made the tanks, Resistance soldiers and civilians can be used as Chechen rebels/terrorists, Kegetys' Nogojev addons can be used as island, most weapons are already in game, only things missing are proper Russian soldiers. My 2€ cents.

Good work anyway, now just patience 8).

urrr... no, that is a realistic loadout on his webbing...

we have ensured that these guys are as accurate as possible, and have consulted many experts, and current Army operators on the accuracy of the models
