Transport Unload!
« on: 14 Nov 2002, 02:32:47 »
Ok i'm making a mission where choppers & M113's bring in reinforcements to a certain area once the objective to secure the area has been complete. Now i have all the troops move incargo, on the chopper's and M113's, after the transport unload waypoint i have the M113's moving out of the area again, same with the choppers. My question is how do i set the men that are unloaded out of the chopper's and m113's to move off on seperate waypoints?

Any help would be most appreciated!

Thanks.

Heres how to do it,

Place your m113 or chopper on the map with a load waypoint close by then put a group of infantry next to it make sure they are both in seperate groups and give the infantry group a get in waypoint on the m113 or chopper, now sincronise the get in and load waypoints, then give the m113 or chopper a transport unload waypoint were you want it to drop off the men and then a move waypoint to were ever you want him to bugger off to. Then click on the leader of the infantry group and give them a waypoint were you want them to go after they are dropped off.(simple!?)
       Another trick,
this will take a load off the prosseser if you write this is the m113 or choppers bugger off waypoint

"deletevehichle (name)" minus the (")    this will make the vehicle dissapear when its away.
hope this helps, let me know if you have problems.(recon)

******************************************
Try this on for size :

Command :
Join

Description :
Causes selected unit to join specified group.

Syntax :
UnitName Join GroupName

UnitName is the name of the unit to join a group.
GroupName is the group the unit should join. Use GrpNull to take a unit out of a group.

Returns :
N/A

Example :
MyGuy Join BigGroup
MyGuy Join GrpNull
MyGuy Join group OtherGuy

Don't forget, OFP expects join in the context of unitArray, not object;

[unit1, unit2,...] join newLeader.
