That is SOOOOOO FRICKEN AWESOME! Considering I'm the one that really begged to have it made, and earl took up the mission, I'm like so pleased! The ACOG model looks great, much to my surprise. I've usually preferred the Reflex Aimpoint site on M4 variants.
I'm wondering, do you intend on adding the fore grip handle, as is in the picture?

I'm not going to add the vertical foregrip, the character will never use it, so I'd rather not.  Contrary to appearances - I am trying to conserve polygons!

Eviscerator, it's the 1st person LOD, correct.  I have to spend some time deleting useless faces (all polys that player will never see) before I say what the poly count is.

I'm going to play OFP for a while to see what animations the 1st person character does, to see how much of the weapon is ever visible.  I think I should be able to delete the whole right side, all front faces, mag bottom, etc.  Things like that should bring the polygon count back under control.

What are some suggestions for poly counts for 1st person weapon views?  I've heard original BIS material is ~750, someone else said up to 1500 (sounds like a lot).  If 750 is correct for BIS weapons, I've got no problem going up to 1000 or just over.  By now the average computer is at least 1/3 better than the average when OFP was released, right??

1000 seems fine and sounds definately good for the amount of detail youve got, youll definately need to check all the animations before you start deleting the major faces as i think you can see a lot of the weapon model during the game, i think thats why BIS didnt adopt the half life way of making weapons

will you be using a custom reticle in your ACOG or the standard M21 scope crosshairs.  just had to ask otherwise looks amazing cant wait to smoke someone with it.

Looks Great! It bets running out of Ammo and having to wait for a Resupply :)
 If you can Please use a Custom Reticle, The Crosshairs have been over used But even then Keep up the great Work! I cant wait to see this in the OP World :D

Well, I've finally gotten back to the Stoner Rifle 47 project, here's the base weapon in its nearly complete form.  I still have to do some more specific texture work, and the optics haven't been textured yet.

What's the max texture size in OFP?  Is it 256x256?  Right now this is 512x512, but I want it to work in regular OFP, not just Resistance.

I'm not sure about the actual 1.46 texture size but it is possible to make it use higher texture sizes. You just have to edit one of ofps config files.
