AI pilot wont keep his vehicle light on

I have an AI pilot and in the script i say:

Pilot action ["Light On",Heli]

When the mission starts the light comes on for a fraction of a second, but then goes off again. Why is this? Can anyone tell me how to keep the light on? Thanks. It is dark by the way. :)

if you set the units behaviour to safe or careless the light will be on.
