Converting a cutscene into a mpeg movie?
« on: 10 Nov 2002, 01:45:58 »
Does anybody here know what I need to convert an intro or cutscene into some kind of avi or mpeg movie?

Sure, I could do 10,000 screenshots and have them sequenced.. But there must be an easier way...

If you have a Tv-out card you can record to a VCR. Then inport it back and make it. :)

Yea. I was thinking of that, too. Record it on a digital camera, and then get it back on the PC...

I'll see how it works out (quality)...

I talked to a guy at work today, who's also palying OFP.
Hes said, amybe instead of the camera, use a second PC with video Software and srteam it directly into the second PC...
If that works, then I would guess, there is no quality loss, depending on the resolution....

Use fraps 1.9 (www.fraps.com) this freeware can record ingame movie, after you should convert the huge .avi in DivX;) format (VirtualDub, freeware too)
