Launching flares with a trigger
« on: 24 Jul 2007, 18:52:43 »
I would like to set a trigger so that as I approach, or are detected, the AI will launch a white flare high up in the air. Any suggestions?

use the position you want, for example, the position of a leader of an enemy group. Execute it with a trigger grouped with the player and markerd as "Detected by "enemy side here"".

Thanks a lot Mandoble, it works great.

P.S. Can't wait for Mandoair to hit ArmA.

Well, it's been a long time so I'm not sure I remember the names. But I know that it is difficult if not possible at all to get the harrier to bomb targets without the laser designator, and I know your mandoairstrike would fix this. I also thought your chemical attack was equally brilliant, and I particularly enjoyed the demo missions for both because they can be used as a template for struggling scripters like myself to see how to call and activate the scripts. Were these scripts and demos ever to cross over to ArmA it might solve a lot of posts about the harrier and laser designator .
