Basically, I just want a different 3rd person view for a couple of seconds.
For example, in a stealth mission where you're sneaking around a town, I'd like for a script to run when you reach a certain place (a corner, specifically) that will make a camera view from a certain angle - but still allowing player movement. (Normally in cut-scenes etc. when you use a fixed camera position there is no player controlled movement).
Any ideas? All the camera scripting I know is only useful for cutscenes - I was thinking maybe having a different external view - but I don't think you'd be able to change that without using a different model all together :-\
