Not to sure where to post, could do with help?
« on: 03 Oct 2005, 23:11:57 »
Hi,

Just wondering if somone could give me a hand, it's not so much script based, but in game. When flying helicopters I just cant get the pan view to work properly at all with my hat. I used to be able to pan with it so that it would hold the position that i left it pointing. Now as soon as i let go of it, it just centers. This leaves me either looking straight ahead or 90 degreas left or right?!! I have a Saitek X45

Any help would be much appreciated, Many thanks Ciaron

hmmm, well welcome to the forums, first and foremost. :)

second thing is that unfortunately we don't deal with queries like this at OFPEC - we can however direct you to some people who do ;)

try the BIS official forums, or alternatively search the avon lady's site. it's likely you'll get the answer you're looking for there, more likely than here as we deal primarily with the editing side of things.

as an aside, i play exclusively with the mouse/keyboard and have no problems. try pressing the '*' key on the numeric keypad. you'll find your view can be moved around while moving in the original direction. just remember to press it again to toggle off.

I think that BIS 'fixed' it, in one of their patches, so that the joystick always autocentres, nothing you can do about it. AFAIK   :-\
