Hello all!

I would like to know how to use the trigger types "Guarded by West/East/Resistance" and what function they have actually.

I use the guarded by triggers in my mission that is currently beta testing

I have heard these triggers attract units on guard waypoints.  Units on guard waypoints will check out these areas more often

Create a group with a guard waypoint.   Create a guard trigger somewhere.  Watch what happens.

And more friendly and enemy groups and see the results.   Experiment.

also another thing aswell as having guadr waypoint you can have one man and give him a qaypoint 'Sentry'
and syqcronise that waypoint with a group who has a guard waypoint what happend is when the enemy is deteacted the soldier calls who ever is closest and is sycronised with him to the enemy's position very usefull i find.
im not totally sure what guarded by triggers do i know groups check that area more ofte but i cant seem to get them to work

Guarded by triggers are great! Correctly using them makes the AI much more effective, and they are super-easy to boot.

You place them, then put units on 'guard' waypoints. Once fighting breaks out or enemies are spotted near the triggers (their size doesn't matter I've heard), then units on 'guard' waypoints will go to the area to help out. Units on 'sentry'  waypoints also use the triggers, although i'm not sure how it is different than 'guard' wps (maybe they return to their original WP after checking out the trigger).

I don't really know how it works any more specifically than that, but I do remember seeing a post here somewhere a while back that described them in great detail. I'd suggest a search from the beginnings of these forums.

the sentry waypoints just stay thre they dont really move apart from to engage but you sycronize them with grops on guard waypoints thats what Prima's Official strttegy guide says
