Leave No Man Behind

Since I didn't get any replies at the BI Forums, I figured I would try the good ole reliable ed center...

I have been trying to get this to work in my mission. Its an MP COOP, and I am having some problems with this.

In the mission, people will die. There are bodies, and I need each of the players to be able to move them, or get them in a vehicle. Basicly I need a way to allow or simulate transporting of bodies in a vehicle without them being ejected when others try to get in. That, and/or a way of transported the bodies on foot, like dragging them or carrying them.

Anyways, I tried a few methods, but those were all slopy and didn't work too well. So I want to hear your ideas/suggestions on how to do this. Maybe I can get some ideas myself by hearing yours. Ok so just make suggestions or ideas, ok? Ok... thank you.

Only way would be actions and then setpos. To prevent the bodies from moving to fast (Such as running with a body moving after you) I would suggest a speed check so as to keep you from running with the bodies.

That is pretty vague though so if you need to clearify more I will be glad too.
I like your approach, lets see your departure.

Thats EXACTLY what I tried, but its a mess.... and it looks stupid and lags...

Wouldn't it be nice if the unit models had a proxy body position, much like the proxy law position.

But sadly, there is no proxy body defined in the standard units and I'm not even sure if this would work well, or at all.

I know a little about a lot, and a lot about a little.

If you're still interested, just let me know - I've got a mission that utilizes a body dragging script. Everything works fine and is very convincing. In case you like the solution, send me an e-mail an d then I'll send the mission via net onto your e-mail address. My e-mail is burroughs@tlen.pl.
