previewing an edited user mission
« on: 22 Apr 2005, 12:26:50 »
after i finished editing my first user mission, i tried to preview it, and i found out that on the mission, when i toggle map, i can't see myself (the little green mark on the map) nor my squad. and when i push the ~ putton to select all the troops in my squad, they get selected alright but their location as it is usualy displayed (when i choose a man i can see a green circlr around him and his distance from me), cannot be seen. why is that, and why this happens on and off (sumtimes it gets fix on its own...)??

please help!!

The mission editor defaults to Veteran mode.    You are used to playing in Cadet mode.

In theory you can go back to the main menu, select a single mission, select Cadet and return to the mission editor to find everything the way you are used to.    However, whatever your religious persuasion, I strongly recommend that you regard this as a Sign From The Gods that you should play in Vet from now on, because it is infinitely more fun.  ;)
