Hey!

I've seen this asked before and the definitive answer is always:  "not in single player"...   :-\

I'm not even sure you could accomsplish this in multiplayer!  As far as I know, in multiplayer you have the option to "respawn", but that's only if you die.   ::)   :P

Prove me wrong someone!  I love it when that happens!  (otherwise..  hope this helps some!)   ;)

Nope sorry so far in single player you got the one life you die for real in OFP this is not Cheater Strike or Quake.

But you can control more than one squad and you can switch to controling a different squad via join and lead.

We are working on some of these aspects at CoC but so far no joy.

You can switch to being in a tank crew any level already in the game Just dont get killed of course your uniform wont change but hey stop being such a narsasist  ;D

Lots of this is standard functions in the Command Engine

Is there a way to allow for switching control of multiple squads without the use of scripts? Or at least ones that aren't really complicated? The sort that you don't have to specifically code for one scenario that can be used in any given one?

One thing I've noticed is that continuously running scripts usually take up a fair amount of cpu usage. Especially ones that repeatedly check for the state of something in short intervals.

Same question asked a different way; equals same answer. No player respawn in single play up to version 1.76.

Why do you want to be reincarnated?

thanks anyway

I now worked me around the respawn problem with a script and respawn = 3, respawndelay = +30min(game will be over since then). When I die I get the position, direction and equipment of the next man in my group. The man will die and take my position and my equipment. when the group is completly destroyed I "respawn" me and my group at my respawnpoint by setpos and so on...

Problem with this is the uniform that I can't change (medic to sniper), so all are same uniform...
second problem is that when I setdamage 0 myself the enemy those not shoot at my anymore, even if I killone of them...
trying to find that in the forums at the moment.

when you know what I have to do to get killed regularly by the enemy again please tell me
