War in the channel islands....?

Hi to all,
              For years I have always had an interest in the Channel Islands, for those of you that dont know, these islands were heavily fortified by the Germans in world war 2.

Also I am aware that there was no battles on the Channel Islands , however there were several Commando raids carried out for information/ prisoner taking purposes.

At present I have a working .wrp of 1940's Jersey and 10 or so ground textures with transitions made.

I'm planning to create many building addons to give the Island a bespoke feel. Which is no big problem(I own and use 3ds max for work) and consider myself to be pretty good at texturing, painting also.

I'm thinking limited Wehrmacht  and  Royal Marine Commando player models.  Also a must will be Kayaks for  covert  landings  etc but no reason for it to stop there.

Does this capture anyone elses imagination? What I'm very short on is good photographs of Jersey(Anybody been on holiday to Jersey?)  I would welcome any input/advice  including collaboration.

I have to work so I have no real timescale.

Sign up (free), design a quick site, wait 7 days (  :'( ), then upload the pics from your computer onto the site  ;D

then just put the link here on the forum, and everyone can see the pics

It's been a while since I last went but there is a Massiv underground hospital built by the Germans, with many tunnels, and it was never finished. That would make a cool mission saving wounded POW's.

Just a quick question about the islands. You said the islands were heavily fortified, so will there be something simular to the Atlantic wall built in Normandy?
Just wondering....

yes im thinking the map could be used for Atlantic Wall missions,   just making some bunkers as we speak
