I can't answer your question, but really don't think the numbers on the M249 SPW mean anything (prove me wrong? :-\) I just center the red dot and fire away, if I miss, adjust up or down depending on where the rounds hit.
As for the M24, not to knock the BAS guys (they are awesome
) but the sights on that and the Sr25 are kinda sad. I don't think the little marks help you identify range like the dragunov does. But I've done the same experiments on desert island with a M82 or some .50 cal sniper rifle. Found myself pointing the damn thing up like a mortar at those super far away ranges, and puttin a bullet in that soldiers head :'(, I've forgotten what range, but you could barely see him in the scope with a loooong FOW from the options menu.
;D
And I'll continue my ranting, the SR25 is a much more effective weapon than the m24 in the OFP world, like the M21, combining semi auto firing with an accurate scope/weapon and a 20 round mag. while the M24 has a 5(6? haven't played in a while) round mag with some bang-click-click-bang action firing. But that's my opinion. :gunman:
Cheers & goodnight, maybe....
