BAS stuff

Does anyone know how to make AI use the BAS chinook? I mean, how to make it hold postition, then open its ramp without you doing anything?

I've just been looking at the MH47 readme and it doesn't give you any scripts to put in place for the hold position and cargo ramp.It does however say that to utilise the MH47 scripts best, you should be the leader and have a MH47 in your group.Basically its saying you should be the pilot or a soldier inside the MH47 so you can use the "action" menu on screen.

well there probably is a code u can isert to get it to tell u trhe name of the action, just like the one that tells u the name of the weapon and ammo, in the tech form. to get the chopper to hold  pos just try making a waypoint and putting this action["Hold Position"]      just experiment with stuff like that. syntax not garrenteed

I've tried guessing with stuff like [BAS_holdposition] and just [holdposition], but none of it works.  :-\

What i'm trying to do, is get the chinook to hover at 27 feet next to a castle tower, so you can run up the tower, get in, and make it fly away. What exactly i'm trying to do is run up, and put a satchel charge in the chopper.

Hey guys,

Speaking of BAS "stuff" I have an issue that comes up with rappeling down sometimes .. Rappeling goes smoothly and everyone on my team lands but then .. I am no longer the leader! I have "stop" above my guy and everyone follows number two or three or anyone else but me??!
The halo is in my group.

Anyway to solve this?

Thanks for the response. I have checked that thread before but it does not really address my problem. I have no problem getting my group to rappel from the helo (which is in my group too). The problem is :

Once my group (1-10 where 11 and 12 is Halo) rappel I lose command over group. I have "stop" over my soldier icon at bpottom of screen and when I press follow command it says follow 2 or 3 or anyone else in my group but me  

So its not the rappel part I have a problem with .. its the afterward. How do I solve loosing the command of my own squad part

  I can't recall any script details about your probby there, cap. but I believe the AI morons depart from
your group when they rappel and then something happens (?) which apparently stops them from
re-joining your grp when they're down on ground.

Remember, those BAS scrolls use alotta eye candy, stuff like taking a realistic positioning once down etc.
they go into combat mode, scan their sectors (or view angle) and such things, so it's no wonder if
anything goes wrong in that process. I recommend you open the addon and read the scrolls yerself, m8
it usually helps alot - even if ye dont know sh*t about scripting.

Have you tried being the pilot AND grp leader? not that its very realistics but it usually works great in OFP
in that choppers have always been the MAIN PAIN of this game! ;D
