Setting up an action as a trigger

Is it possible? I'd like to put one trigger on if I fire a red flare (call air support), and one if I fire a green flare(chopper comes and extracts me).
What I want to happen is for the chopper pilot (let's call it "chopper") to see my flare, and I want that to start the trigger. What way can I do it?

Check the online com ref in the ed depot under "event based scripts". There is a script called onflare.sqs that will automatically run when someone shoots a flare, and might work for what you are doing. Otherwise, I'm sure someone will tell you how to use a fired eventhandler to get it done.
