disappearing units etc. help needed.

Help. It seems that when I have a large number off addons, that my units, vehicles and even roads dissappear. I still see the shadows of the soldiers and vehicles but any rifle etc that they carry seems to be floating in the air as it is held by an invisible hand.. I am using the nomap fix and am at a loss as to why this should be happening. I was never aware of a limit to the number of addons that could be loaded before when I played on win ME. now I am using winXP. Has anyone else had this problem and can anyone offer any clues as to how I can resolve it?

OK guys, Panic over. I tried changing the video refresh rate in the game options and that did the trick for me. For anyone else having this problem, I changed refresh  rate from 75 to 85 and I now have all units and roads showing up as they should again.
