Problem with "setPos" / "setpos2"
« on: 12 Aug 2004, 00:38:45 »
Hey Guys...

My problem is, to get two Objects on the exact same height. The OFP Engine seems count the heigh above ground so that a lot of adjusting can become necessary....

... but IÂ'm lazy ;D ...

My Question: Is it possible to set a height above sea level with (or without) the "setPos" Command?

so far...

ps: thx for Help and sorry for bad English...

Err um huh?

Don't really understand what you want. :-\

You want two objects at the same height? Like if one was on a mountain, it'd be higher than the other near the ocean?

If that's the case, I have no idea. Maybe just work around it... :P

And your English was fine, I've seen much worse. ;)

There is a function that finds elevation above sea level, you could use that and a script to do what you need.  Check the editor depot for the Seal level altitude function.

Or, you can make a gamelogic (Or is it a trigger?), under the unit your setpos-ing..
And use the distance command on it and the unit..
Because gamelogics are always created as sealevel (I'm sure)
I might be wrong, and it might be triggers.. or I might be totaly wrong, and my idea wont work.. ;)

I think its markers that are created at sealevel, but I'm also not sure.
