AI walk point
« on: 15 Jul 2004, 04:14:45 »
Hey all-

I was wondering if it would be possible to make a script where an AI walked point for your group.  I was hoping to use it in some Vietnam missions.

I imagine it will have to be a custom formation, ideally where the point man stops if he spots a contact.     :gunman:
                                                               Thanks-

Give a guy the "Advance" command in the "Move commands" menu. That will work perfectly as a pointman!
I do that all the time.

Neptune-

If you give them the advance command will they follow a set course our just randomly walk around.  Also do you think you could use the move to the next waypoint command.

 :-\ no...

They will move up, to get in front of the formation, with some distance. When you change your movement direction, they will allso.

Basically their formation position is moved wayyy ahead of the original formation.
(make sure you set the combat mode to "aware")

Try my custom formations script. You can do exactly what you are talking about with it:
