Object illumination.
« on: 12 Jun 2004, 13:04:31 »
This has probably been discussed a million times before but i cant seem to find any threads on it.

Make a box for example, texture it, put it in game, and you find some sides are illuminated incorrectly by the sun, dark when should be light and vice versa.

How can i remedy this and what causes it?

Also sometimes i can see the sun through some objects? Mostly the ones with the wrong illuminated sides?

Any help greatly appreciated.

i've just recenlty found this out, but you can hit F5 to recalulate normals.  I guess this redefines the position of the object to the light source.  U makes the face sharp.  Someone should make a complete list of all these little things

Here is a 'complete as I can remember it' list of Oxygen Keyboard shortcuts.

There might be more, but not many.

If anyone knows more, just add to the list.
