bring up map from a script so that you can click it

hi i am making a diolog for my tomahawk now i would like it to open up a map so that you can do click on map to select a target now i have every thing working provided i exit the diolog press "M" and click map then  go back to diolog and launch my asset. But i wont to open map with a script?

just to recap

1. How i can script to openmap just like pressing "M"
2. Please help

so there is know way at all of scripting OFP to reconise a key press then reverce it so ofp thiks its pressed or some thing

Surely with every single thing you can do in ofp there must be a way to bring up the map Armstrong!!   ::)
Im not sure how you do it but im sure if you check the comref and ed depot there must be someway to do this... you can do it in cutscenes using mapanim...

yes i did try that but could not click on map is there a way to do it in a dialog as that would be even better as the i would not have to close it at all

As Armsty already said:

there's no way to do it for what WizzyWig is asking for.

Believe me i've read the comref (off + inoff) from top to bottom and vice
versa more than once - and there's nothing yet to realize that idea.

Don't you think that CoC or many others would have already implemented this feature if it were available?  ::)

Sure you could just pop up a dialog with a map, featuring thousands of
small clickable buttons, or featuring the whole map first with clickable
sections to zoom in step by step to the area you want.

But first: this would make much more work for the player to zoom-click
into and:

second: it wouldn't be worth the effort - because of "first".

I think Armsty and CD are right ... I certainly don't know of a way to do this and its not the kind of thing you can do.    OFP mission editing has lots of very powerful tools - like scripting - but in general they only allow you to control the mission works, not how the game works.   And this would be interfering with game stuff.
Plenty of reviewed ArmA missions for you to play

ok i have done it now i have created a map in a diolog its 10x10x100 so its just as complex as the real thing i have compleated desert island and im currently doing 6 more island

im looking for a host to host a 6mb file that can be offsite linked any one know of any or can you host it for me some how as i have a beta with nov and desert compleat all other maps are there but not zoom able

the 6mb will be the final version or we might just add it to the tomahawk script sets so that mission makers can use it if needed

Still lots of work for you to do for the other maps, but hats off for
what you already got there.

this is also open for any one else to do as well as i like the share my betas with the community well all But not a chance of the tomahawk as thats mine and raps baby and o how its growing its like a Sunflower just add water and hay presto we have a 12" giant

I got no need/requirement for any crediting of giving hints or
suggestions anyways, as that would just mean i (and lots of
other ppl around the forums) had been found in many readme's
yet.

I also agree, that this idea was not something special, i have
never thought about before, and so i believe did lots of ppl
- well atleast you did  :D - before.

I didn't even expect that you're going for it, as i thought it
might become a "pain in the click" mission, as i mentioned in
my first post  ;D

Thx for the offer to test it out - check me profile for msn/icq,
but i'd rather prefer msn at the mo, as my icq is some kind'a
sleepy currently.
