Hey-

I was making a mission, and I was inserting amongst some steep terrain.  Anyway, the AI units won't follow my guy up the side of the cliff. >:(  As it is, I have to crawl up it.  So here's my question:

Is there an easier way to climb a steep hill with AI units following? ???

and

What are the chances of making a script where the unit looks like he is rock climbing up the side of the hill? ???

1)  Dunno.  Doubt it - AI does refuse to do slopes that are too steep.

2)  Probably.   Some custom animations would help.    For a quick and dirty you could just use a progressive setpos loop like some abseiling scripts.

Instead of a setpos loop, try looping the "crawl forward" animation on the soldiers. If you make sure they point the right direction, that should make em go right up the cliff.

On a side note, I was working on a rapelling script for the ECP, which basically does the opposite of what you want (makes em go DOWN cliffs/buildings/etc.). It runs on basically the same idea I just told you: a continuous, looping animation to force guys to move.
