weapons
« on: 08 May 2004, 17:09:44 »
I want to make a few missions with some black-ops guys, and a whole load of targets to kill, how can I make the players able to choose their weapons at the start of the mission?

Thanks.  Rick.

1) by using a weapon dialog system such as the one made by Drax and used in the battlefield missions

2) By adding weapons to an ammo crate in spawn.

I would suggest you use number 2

Hey guys, if you want them to be selectable from the mission 'front-end', in briefing etc... Then just use the destription.ext file.

You can add whatever weapons you like in whatever quantity. Simple.

Take a look in the 'editors depot' under 'enhancing your mission'...

Neo that works for the Group leader only.

The other option is to do as Neo states, but have all players ungrouped. This means that each player slot is in its own group and therefore can select his own weapons if they have been listed in the description.ext

Wouldn't the above (each player in his own group) work nicely if you join the players into a group at the start of the mission?

Yeah, that would worck nicely.
If the AI its dissable ingame then it don't really matter, cos all the players will be human and you may don't need waypoints, so its more reall if the human players are as individual groups of one each.
But if you really want to group them you can do that very easy after the game has started, don't even need any waypoints.
@CERO.
