Cant join muliplayer games

Hi im trying to join a mates game. I have a computer that is able to join on another machine on the network but for some crap reason the computer with the internet connection refuses to conect to the game or see it at all. Should I change something? HELP!

Unfortunately OFPEC is only an editing related site, so it

where new releases get posted, or in the off topic section.
