Converting ogg
« on: 13 Apr 2004, 18:50:51 »
When I try to convert haloo.wav file to ogg. I get error message like "The CODEC required to compress 'C:\Converted Music\haloo.ogg.TEMP.ogg' could not be opened." I use dBpowerAMP Music converter. What I have to do?

Hey peter,

I had that same problem. I don't know how to fix it, but i'm just trying to boost interest in this topic because if we both had the same problem then others would too.
Sorry I can't be of any help, but I don't have a clue either.

see ya,

Hauk

When you got dBPowerAmp did you also download the Ogg Codec.

There are various codecs on the same site for you to download.

If you already have it, and have installed it, then I haven't got a clue what might be wrong.

I think the best ogg converter is WinLame, the codecs already included!
Is there any games than Flashpoint?

Well, there can't be simpler and more reliable tool as OggDrop. It hasn't disappointed me since 2001  ;)

Where I can download it?

Try www.dbpoweramp.com ...

or more specifically, their codec section. About half way down the page you'll see the .ogg vorbis codec ;)
