uniform insignia/ how to add to existing units
« on: 19 Mar 2004, 05:01:07 »
I'm trying to create the 101st AB vietnam era. I would like to modify Sebs nam units by adding the arm patches. I've done the patch. Two part question
1. Can I add the patch as a separate item to the units by modifying the cpp file.

or

2. Do I add the patch in O2.

I've depboed the us units but I get an error (unable to load file.load error)when trying to load the p3d. Have I missed a step?

I've added the patch to a side arm tex file, but I was wondering if there was an other way thus the two part question.

Any help would be appreciated. thanx

Also is there anywhere I can find a list of what tex files fit where on a soldier. I've searched and searched but to no avail.

You don't need the config either O2. You just need the Texture Swap Utility. With that tool you only load the (encrypted!) model, and change the texture path from e.g. "Sebnamstuff\armpatch.pac" to "cj525's_addon_name\newarmpatch.pac", that's all. then you only need to copy the changed model into your addon folder and remember to change the "model name" entrance in the config ;-)
