WRP Simplified
« on: 15 Mar 2004, 12:51:53 »
Hi Guys

Im looking to turn my hand to island creation.I have been looking for a very simple tutorial for WRP edit or Wrp tool.
Alas i cant find one.bearing in mind im not too hot at all this i am not looking for manuals as they arent always as straight forward as some people might think(for a noob anyway)
im just looking for a step by step guide for making a tiny island and then i can expand on that knowledge.

Can anyone help or even better if any1 has the time to write a short and simple tut for me i would be for ever in your debt.

Cheers ;D

There are various manuals and tutorials for WrpEdit in the Editors Depot.

http://www.ofpec.com/editors/browse.php?category=1_8

Try there first.

Thanks for reading the manual. There's a bunch of stuff in there that is not just WRPtool specific as well.

For the config part, start by copying one of the sample configs, preferebly the one that appropiately matches the size of your island. Once your island has progressed further where you need additional content such as place names, sounds, and airport ILS, check these threads, and read more in the manual.

Any specific questions on WRPtool have likely already been answered at http://flashpoint.nekromantix.com/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.cgi.

Thanks.
