I thought I'd give you all a run down of a persistant campaign I've been working on for over a year now. It is for OFP: Resistance and is nearing completion.
General plot:
You're a resistance leader fighting against the soviet occupation of Malden.
Features:
- Randomly generated missions, enemies and objectives. Including enemy counter attacks with tanks, aircraft or infantry - depending on how badly you've pissed the soviets off.
- Mission types which include: hostage rescues, patrols, assualts on enemy assets and more.
- Captured weapons and vehicles which remain in your stockpile for future missions.
- Random enemy reenforcements.
- Random new recruits for you to lead.
- Random civilian and enemy vehicles placed logically in every town.
- Intelligent enemies: If you are spotted by a soviet patrol, they will radio your position to any pursuing units.
- Ammo crates filled with random equipment for you to steal.
- Random and dynamic weather.
- Missions occuring at any time in the morning, afternoon or evening.
- Simulated base camp, which moves around the island as the campaign progresses.
