I guess this is on topic, since it's about hosted addons (or hoping-to-be hosted, at any rate)

Since the name tage submission page is currently inactive, does that mean OFPEC are not accepting new addons? Or should I just submit it anyway and cross my fingers that no one has taken my tag yet?

Well why dont you check whether anyone has the letters "Occ" in their username. For example I use "GAS" and "FLK" to release adddons in...

You can still register tags at the depot, simply try and register your old tag and see if it works  ;) Or you could check the tag list on the addon depot  :)
