Text/Font Tutorial?

Ive read a Text/Font tutorial on this site and it is very confusing and includes very little instruction..

does someone have one that helped you and is really basic??

Im just looking for one to help make my Text look better in my intro..

Description.ext is not very simple and I am afraid the Font tute is the best you can get. Try reading Vektorbosons dialog tutorial, it might clear things up for you.
