i just got in to the ofp scene, but i haven't seen any armories or new ammo crates that allow the player to select his load out during game play. is this possible? i think it will add to the realism

a server i play on uses scripts to make sort of an ingame menu to choose your loadout ingame

it has a few very minor bugs but works well

Im confused now... What do you mean by armory? I place that has every single weapon type and you can just pick whatever you want?? Doesnt seem very real when your in the middle of combat. What you can do, is add weapons to the breifing so the the player(s) (if they are the squad leader) can choose their and their squads weapons (depending on what weapons you added) during the breifing before the mission starts....

the games we have ammo selections with use mainly FARPs or bases

You can place ammo crates anywhere, populated with whatever weapons you want.   You don't need any kind of special building for that, although you can put ammo crates inside a lot of buildings.  It's even possible to have individual weapons laying around.
