Hiding waypoints

how can i be in a no-waypoint situation (so, no destination on the screen) and then activate a waypoint?

Do you mean something like if "x = y" then move "z" type of situation?

If that's the case the quickest/simplest way would be to use a trigger specify this.

Put "Lock WP true" in the Init: field of last WP you want the player to be aware of

then have "Lock WP false" in the activation field of the trigger to reval it once the x = y  had been met.

wouldn't LockWP just make the last wp incomplete? i want it to completely disappear from the screen....

When do you want the WPs to dissapear?  Mid mission or at the start?

I was thinking of making a dummy unit, giving him WPs and then deleting him mid game and moving you to take over his WPs and group.  Im not sure it would work though.

wp's should disappear mid-mission...

the plot is: you make the exfiltration point (a wp itself), but the chopper dies or something, so you are "lost" on the island and just try to survive (no wp's), then the HQ gives you another exfil point and it appears as a wp....

got it?

i saw it happens in the Official Campaign i think...
