« on: 20 Oct 2003, 21:12:13 »
I want to use the m21 optics (name.paa) as a titlersc in a cutscene.

Switchcamera "internal" is unpredictable...

I found it for the SVD in the DATA folder, but I can't find it for the M21 optics  :(

what the name of the .paa-file?

addonmakers or some1 else please HELP  :-\

modelOptics = "optika_snpierw";

that's the .P3d name of the M21 optics....  not sure about .paa

although try adding a  'w' to the end of the file that is for the Dragunov possibly?   as the info for the SVD is like this:

modelOptics = "optika_snpier";

:cheers:

Looking at the entry for this in the updated P3D Project yields this result:

Dta\Data3D\optika_snpierw.p3d

data\puskohled_lh.paa
data\vojak_02_dhled_osa00.paa
data\zasleh2_front.01.paa

3 different textures used.

Hope it helps.

The m21 optics do not consist of one paa as said, so it's not possible to show it as a resource picture. But try show it as an object. As of what i know, objects can be(or must be) .p3ds. Not quite sure, but think thats what i figured some time ago!

thx, for the fast replies

The dragunov optics were also more than one .paa, the optics & the circle. I couldn't find the circle so I made one in photoshop and it looks like the one in the game.

I only need the crosshair of the m21, I use the same circle.

I try all suggestions 2nite, tommorow I let you know if it works, otherwise I draw it in illustrator & import in photoshop, save as tga, convert to paa et voila.  :) no big deal

If somebody is interessed I can mail the optics, maybe they could be usefull for your own cutscenes...

yes Planck, it helps but...

It was harder than I thought, there were some problems with the transparancy.

Anyway, here they are, in attachment the m21 & SVD optics + the description.ext you need.

Dimensions are 512 * 256
