this may be a stupid question, but how do you make the AI follow a waypoint coninueously. E.G. a patrol or guard duty etc.

This is probably in all the basic mission editing tutorials, but here goes: Make a circle/square/etc patrol pattern with "move" waypoints. At the last waypoint, make a loop waypoint near the first. The patrol will now repeat the patrol pattern infinitely.

The name of the waypoint in question is actually the cyclewaypoint  ;)

You can double click on the unit who started the patrol and choose cycle if you want the guy to loop from where he started or you can put a cycle on top of any other waypoint along the route to make the guy cycle from there.
Make sure you zoom right in so the cycle waypoint is touching or directly on top of the other one.
