Create a AI firebase

My intention is simple:

1: Ai-controlled group will be able to aim at a certain direction and provide support/overhead firing...
-or-
1: AI-controlled group will be able to engage stationery at their position, by taking down as many enemies as possible from their area without shifting position...

2: Prone and maintain low profile...

Well, I know your intentions but I'm not quite sure what the problem is.   ;)      I presume you want to AI to aim at empty space ... if so, your best bet is to get hold of the invisible target addon - not sure where from, but this has come up before and there is a link in a forum post(s) somewhere.    AI won't target gamelogics.

For keeping them in place setUnitPos "down" will help a bit.   There have been a couple of threads on ambushes, which may have some tips if you can find them - try the forum search function.

Um, I think I go through step by step...

First, how should I be able to make my AI prone and take cover, while covering a certain direction? What r the commands to type?

Because I will be commanding a machine gunner group and I want to deply them as a serperate firebase... I managed to let them ungroup from my command and one of the AI take over as command and go towards a position I'd assigned. But upon reaching there, they'll just stand there and do nothing...

How am I able to make them automatically prone, take cover and cover a certain direction and open fire upon contact?

I can maybe answer the second one.  All you have to do is make a hold waypoint with "combat" and "open fire".  The combat will make them hide in bushes and just dont make it open fire engage at will and they shouldnt move.  U cound probaly make it just a move waypoint but see if that works.

Perhaps it would be possible to use a script that sets the direction they are facing and then repeats the "strokegun" move. I've never actually used "strokegun" before so I don't really know how it works but it's just a suggestion. It should make them fire their guns. Maybe someone else can elaborate on this idea? I don't know too much about scripting.
