Street light issues or "Why is the light in the wrong spot?!"

I read the streetlight tutorial, put in my own lights, typed "this switchLight "On" in their inits, and for somereason, the light source appears only half way up the post.  I even tried the real lights addon, but that didn't work either.  Can anyone help?

usually you use "this inflame true" to turn on custom lights ...
