Lip files in 98

   Yeah I know the Cold War was 85.. and Resistance was a little earlier.  I am having a few probs with converting my Wav to Lip in Windows 98.

   I am fully aware of the process of making them but.. my 98 who used to convert just fine has know decided not to.

   Anyone run into this problem.. please let me know what you did.  It seems kinda funny to see a guy swingin his arms and hearing his voice just not seeing his lips move..

   OK...OK...OK... I broke a rule here..

 
   I have been trying to figure out what the deal was and I thought that it was with 98 or something that I downloaded that might have modified the program.... it isn't and it wasn't.

   I figured that there was 6 people that looked at it and there was going to be 6 people calling me a dumba$$ for not looking beneath the surface and looking harder then I did to find an answer.

   #### THE SOLUTION  ######

   Ummm.. someone already posted this and I am not going to take credit for it... so I am regurgitating some old news.. (the rule that I broke.. DOUBLE POSTING)

   o  I created a file in the C Drive called Wav2Lip (although I don't think that is an issue... I used it from desktop before without problem.. but figured I would do it anyway)... and make sure that if you are switching the file from one folder to another that you are not making a shortcut.. these do not work.  #Not an insult but the shortcut is the file with an arrow on the bottom of the icon..some don't know that.

  o  I transferred everything back from Ogg to Wav with dB PowerAmp Converter ( and excellent and easy and self explaining program to use for someone that knows nothing about engineering sound files [as I was 6 months ago].. just make sure you get the WinAmp file to hear the sound files before you correct them if you have WinAmp.. and the Ogg Vorbis converter which is also located on the same page as the main program.. or just dig a little...

  Once again they are all self explainatory and so is the webpage... just don't forget the powerpacks for WinAmp and Ogg Vorbis.

 
   o  And the main problem was when I converted them from a Wav to Ogg file, I pushed the wrong configuration and made them a 16 Bit Stero file instead of a MONO... Make it mono people..  I think that is the major reason why people have problems with the conversion..

  Remember 16 Bit MONO... not Stero..

  ## I am also looking for some voice actors.. I need 2 or 3 Russian/Slavic or Baltic languages or some d@mn fine actors... and in return I can give you all the US military voices that you need and make them sound real...thats what I do no... less go figure.
